Experience The Difference

Catherine & Crystal

Crystal would not come into the house and lived in the crate in the garage which had access to a fenced-in backyard. Her interaction was limited and when outside she would pick the farthest corner to rest. She was “o.k.” with me, but really didn’t want to have anything to do with my husband, son-in-law, grandkids, or son. Sandy to the rescue!!!! Sandy taught us all how to understand each other. Crystal’s apprehension was based on fear. So, in a loving and forthright way, Sandy picked her up…brought her up those stairs (which she probably never saw before) and brought her into the house, as many times as it took for her to know it was o.k. and she could do it on her own. While leash walking with the “boys” in the yard, she was taught how they really were o.k. too, and how much they wanted to be a part of Crystal’s life. Getting in and out of the car for road trips started with a physical Sandy pickup and has resulted in a jump and tail wag. Understanding Crystal’s fear, and teaching us how to overcome it, is how Sandy made Crystal’s adoption possible. Over the past few years, we have patiently and purposefully grown up to be an awesome family group. Bud, Carlos, the grandkids and Jayce are her favorite people now. When they walk in the room, the whole batting of eyelashes and submissive tail wag is a joyous sight all in itself.😊

Jake & Menina

I met my fur baby Nina after she had spent some time working with Sandy. Off the bat she was pretty well behaved and very eager to learn. She still had some work to do, but with Sandy’s guidance and insight, what could have been a difficult year of trial and error ended up being a few fun months that really helped us bond. She introduced me to my best friend in the world and helped me give her all the love she needed. If you want to go from having a pet to having a partner in crime, please work with Sandy!

Miriam & Sami

Sandy so understood that my Samantha needed some time to exhale after her rescue. Yet she still visited and worked with us our first day together so that Sami and I would be comfortable walking together. She helped me to understand how Sami’s first 18 months impacted her and how to gain her trust. Now, 2+ years into my partnership with Sami, we are therapy dog companions thanks to Sandy’s continued help and guidance. She made my transition to dog partner so much smoother by showing me how to talk to and make eye contact with Sami.

Anita & Moda

Sandy is a calm, confident, and remarkable trainer. She listens, observes, and recommends solutions, along with offering hands-on training. When Moda, a 4.5 year-old mixed terrier, first joined our household in Spring 2022, Sandy visited us to assess strengths and help us determine what needed work. Sandy showed us how to calm Moda and reward her when she did well. She also helped Moda learn how to walk past other dogs without barking and jumping. While we still have to work on reducing her anxiety, she has made remarkable progress. At age 6 she’s starting to feel comfortable in our home. She sometimes still barks at other dogs and still jumps on us, but we know we have to be consistent with her thanks to Sandy’s guidance. I would highly recommend her to anyone who can use help training their dog.

Seana & Gracie

When we found out we were pregnant with twins, we knew we needed help training our wild, unsocialized COVID puppy with a penchant for jumping high fences and terrorizing the neighborhood. We required a trainer who understands that our dog is a family member and uses humane training methods, while simultaneously holding our dog to high standards and delivering the results we needed. Sandy was all of that and more! She helped us manage our pup’s fence jumping habit and helped our pup develop a respectful friendship with her neighborhood canines (who formerly despised her). Sandy taught us how to be the puppy parents she needs and we are grateful for all of her help!
